For all of you who want to design fittings for your boats, you can download a 3D-model of the boats. You will need the free software Sketchup to use the model. The tape measure tool (T) allows you to take measurements, which should only be accurate to about 1 or 2 inches, so think about using flexible materials like stretchy cords to tie things down. Or just use the diagrams below.
