the scene opens on a peaceful dutch morning in 1687. a band is playing, and picnickers are enjoying their morning repast. a few lazy merchant ships loll about the harbor, blissfully unaware of the dangers awaiting them. somewhere, a champagne bottle pops, creasing the still air with a sudden change of pressure to naturally carbonated wine spirits.
suddenly, english war frigates arrive. a brief chase occurs, with some confusion.
just as suddenly, the future dutch appear. they have traveled back in time in order to change the result of this battle so that the time machine will not be destroyed in the future. the future dutch inform that british that in the future, all battles are fought using interpretive dance.
the lines of battle are drawn. each side does a little dance, and perhaps there is some mingling and twirling. meanwhile in the background a fan boat covers up something that is getting larger...
enter the giant disco ball boat, accompanied by fan dancers
the british are routed and exit to prepare for the finale
the fan dancers and disco ball along with the future dutch engage in more dance routines as the british change costumes and come back
after a few formation tricks the whole company spreads out and the grand finale happens (TBA)
showgirls flourish
fans wave
jaws drop
all exit.
